Glimpse Flush… What is it?

26669967

Why am I experiencing flushing/redness when I use Glimpse for the first time?
Rather than producing a cosmetic effect—as is the case with many traditional skin care products containing synthetics, fillers, silicones and occlusive emollients—Glimpse formulas allow your skin
to breathe, supporting an optimal state of well being. Glimpse formulas are active, biologically alive
compounds that you may actually feel on your skin the first time you use Glimpse—this can manifest
itself in an initial flushing of the skin. Similar to the slight flushing in your skin after exercise, this is a
positive effect.

The flushing you may experience with Glimpse is its own form of exercise for your skin, delivering oxygen that brings results! If you experience flushing, it usually subsides. However, if you experience swelling or other adverse reaction, please discontinue use.

Hi Jessica, do you know if the Glimpse products or the Pericarp oil may be helpful for people whose skin is damaged by steroid creams? This creates very thin and sensitive skin, and I’m not sure whether Glimpse might be useful in helping the skin to heal better?

That’s a good question! I, personally, do think that the Pericarp Oil could help aid with the healing and rebuilding of compromised skin. I would start slow and see how the skin responds. In addition, I would definitely try to incorporate the Moisturizing Cream for further protection of that barrier. These of course, are just my personal thoughts and a general guideline. I would be happy to work with you or any other individual on a case by case basis. But yes, I do think it would be helpful.

    Why hello again! :-)
First off, it is very important they reduce any direct sun exposure as much as possible! I know this is difficult to do, but it will help. If they cannot avoid it entirely (which I understand is the reality) than have them make sure they are using a Sun Protection (preferably something that works as a physical block; like Zinc Oxide). Secondly, it’s hard to say that either of the products will restore pigment. The loss of pigment is a very hard thing to counteract. However, being that it is something more recent, there is a possibility that they could see improvement. The best benefit to incorporating Glimpse, will be that it could help with prevention of further damage. My personal suggestions would be to incorporate the Pericarp Oil and Serum. Again, mixing them together (in equal portions) and then applying them (preferably twice a day). Again, please let me know if you have any further questions or if I can be of any further assistance. Thank you!

Breakout and redness of skin after first initial use of glimpse.
My new distributor has discontinued use of Glimpse because of breakouts, redness and dry patches on her face. She is using the Combination to Dry skin care pack and is very concerned. Thank You.

    Hi Judy,
I’m sorry that your new distributor had this experience with Glimpse! That is most definitely not the kind of reaction that we would want anybody to have (we want everybody to love Glimpse as much as we do; right!). :-) . There could be many factors which could have led to this type of reaction. For example: previous skin care products she was using, hormones, environment, climate, stress, etc. Some people just experience, initially, a stronger reaction to some of the active components contained within Glimpse. This, while I know it doesn’t seem that way, is not necessarily a bad thing. The skin may just be communicating what is going on within. Of course, this is not the experience we want somebody to have! I think a few modifications would make a huge difference for her. Sometimes, the products just have to be customized to meet the individual needs of the person. Skin, like people, is not the same! I’m happy to make some suggestions and discuss this further. I would like to get a little more background information first though. I will include my email information below. Perhaps you can send me your phone number and we can set up a call? Many times that makes it easier. If you prefer that we correspond via email; that’s just fine to! Whatever works for you. I look forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you,

I purchased the glimpse for normal skin for my wife as a chrismas gift. She is a very attractive woman with beautiful skin. She has always used Kiehls products and I knew that she was about to reorder them. I wanted to start her on the Glimpse products. She got up early this morning to get ready for work and wow, after doing the four step process she looked like someone with a terrific sunburned face. Her face was bright red and after 35 to 40 minutes it did not subside. She had to wash the Glimpse products off and apply makeup to cover it up. She was concerned to say the least, upset and empbarrased. I did my best to downplay it as flushing and told her to try it again, it might just be a first time reaction. She is in excellent health, a vegetarian, who works out (p90x) does extreme yoga. Only eats healthy foods and she was really excited about trying this product. I don’t know if I will be able to regain her confidence or not. I saw above where you metioned calling the distributor above to discuss her reaction. Let me know if you might be able to chat with my wife, as she is highly respected and influential among my Xango group and I want her to feel confident in the Glimpse line.

    Hi Russ,
Yes, I would be more than happy to speak with your wife! Her skin’s reaction is not uncommon or a “bad” thing. However, I realize how it could be seen as such and how important it is to have good skin when you are representing a product or company. Please go to the “Ask the Expert” tab on the home page of this blog and from there you can send me your contact info. I’m not sure what day/night works best for you, but I’m sure we can work something out soon. Hope to talk to you soon…
